Work Requirements To be successful in this role, you’ll need a mix of physical stamina and "people skills." Customer Service: Ability to handle high-volume rushes with a positive attitude and a smile. Technical Skill: Experience with (or willingness to learn) manual espresso machines, grinders, and latte art. Punctuality: Early morning shifts are common—you must be reliable for opening shifts (often starting at 5:00 AM or 6:00 AM). Multitasking: Ability to memorize complex drink recipes while talking to customers and keeping an eye on the oven. Physical Stamina: You will be on your feet for the entire shift (usually 4–8 hours) and may need to lift milk crates or bags of beans (up to 30 lbs). Cleanliness: Maintaining a sanitized workstation and following food safety protocols.
